Watermelon of the Elric

I was looking for a nice simple design to start off my watermelon season with, to avoid horrible disasters. I'd had the idea to do something Fullmetal Alchemist on a watermelon. Thus came this. It's the symbol on Al's arm and Ed's jacket, for all of you who aren't familiar with the symbol.

This is actually my second watermelon of the year. The first was the same design, only I didn't have the camera on hand when I finished, so I froze it. When I finally took it out to get a picture, it broke in the worst possible way. So I tried again. This one's a perfect example of why I should photograph these damn things when I carve them. It was in the fridge for a day and it managed to wilt. And being that it has those annoying dangly things, I had to use toothpicks to keep it somewhat together. It didn't end well, I'm rather dissapointed.

Perhaps I will try this design out a third time later on, but right now I'd like to move on to more pokemon.
