I was thinking of calling this Beast of the North Wind, but it didn't fit.

And thus ends the Beast Trio of Johto. I actually hate suicune. I could never catch it, and it's cry is embedded in my brain as a sound of defeat. But I'll be damned if this one didn't turn out sharp.

I don't know why in the hell I decided to keep the outline on the tail, it was a mess of trouble. But worth it, I think it looks neat. I think I did a better job with Entei actually, but that may be the hatred of Suicune talking.

Also, THIS THING IS HUGE! For some reason it's on a 21 pound monster. Even gutted and thinned out it's a pain in the ass to carry around. I was terrified that I would drop it or something. This thing could eat the Castle pumpkin I just posted.

What shall I do now that the Trio is finished? You'll just have to wait and find out, won't you? 13 days til Halloween!

I have to say, and maybe it's because I'm biased towards Suicune as opposed to Entei (I had the opposite happen to me - Entei I could never capture, Suicune I got on the first ball thrown XD), that this is definitely beautiful and I love it the most out of all of them. The detail in each facet is beautiful, especially the tail. As much as a pain in the arse I'm sure that was, it turned out perfect.

Thanks! I'd actually forgotten that I had done the outline thing with the tails until now. I've found an easier way to do it with my latest pumpkins!

Yeah, I thought I was trying something new, but it turns out I had done it before.

I've posted tips all over the place, usually in reply to comments. There's also this journal: [link] which is a few years out of date, but the only thing I've changed drastically is step 5.
