The internet has demanded this one. Seriously, upon finding my pumpkins posted on random sites around the internet, the most common comment I saw was people wondering where Squirtle was.
Well here he is! I don't hate Squritle or anything, but it never seemed to make sense on a pumpkin like the other two. Bulbasaur fits cause grass type on a vegetable/fruit, and Charmander because jack-o-lanterns get lit up be fire. There's not a real connection for water types on a pumpkin. But who am I to deny the demands of the internets?
It was a pretty easy carve, actually. The shading wasn't too extensive and it was fairly easy to get the different levels of shading. I think it helped that it was a small pumpkin. Took like 2 and a half hours all together. Did it while watching Mulan
For shading, a dremel drill. For cutting, Warren Pro Pumpkin Carving Tool. For a little bit of everything an x-acto knife. There's more, but those are the main three.
Exacto knives are actually what I use the most, if I had to pick one tool that's the one I'd go with! And I'm sure you will get better! Practicing accounts for probably 90% of my skills
