Spooky Jack Skellington

Halloween's not done yet!

Here's Jack Skellington, to continue with the spooky theme. The pattern is another from Zombie Pumpkins, since Halloween is the best time for them. I would have watched Nightmare Before Christmas when I carved it, but I ended up forgetting the DVD at home.

This is actually two pumpkins! The head is carved on one and the hand on another. It looks pretty darn cool IRL, with the hand coming at you. There was supposed to be a second hand but...

This one gave me a load of trouble. First I tried carving it on the last of my rotting pumpkins, but ended up breaking it beyond repair halfway through carving, through my own stupidity. I decided to then try it again on one of my home grown pumpkins, and managed to screw it up a second time. After that I called it a night, and the next morning decided to try it again, this time with all shading so I couldn't ruin it. It's on the other side of the second messed up pumpkin.

Can't win em all I guess. Still, I'm glad I stuck with it, since it turned out so nicely.
