As fun as random radishes and kappa are, it's all about the pokemon melons
Rayquaza this time! A pretty badass pokemon if I do say so myself. I trained one on my Ruby game and everything. Her name is Sake and she's awesome.
So I bought this watermelon at the same time as the Kappa melon, as a back up in case the other one broke or something. Always good to be prepared. Luckily nothing actually happened, so I had this great shaped watermelon that I knew exactly what I wanted to do with. I usually can't find long cylindrical watermelons down here in LA, but they had them up in Davis. It was perfect for Rayquaza, all stretched out and awesome. Only problem was it was really hard to find an image to use as a pattern. I ended up watching the Deoxys movie a couple of times to find the right pose.
Well worth it I think, this is pretty awesome. A little rough around the edges, but overall really nice. It's one of the more fragile designs, I was terrified of breaking off the tail or the arms.
Gotta love watermelon season
