Pumpkin Carving Tutorial - Part 1 by johwee Pumpkin Carving Tutorial - Part 1 by johwee
Huge file warning! You have been warned!

This is part 1 of 3 of the Pumpkin Carving Tutorial that I have spent the past week working my butt off on. I've been trying to make a proper tutorial with pictures for years now, and I've finally come up with something I'm proud of.

Many thanks go to my friend ~TamIsMyFather for proofreading these for me, making me use hypens, and helping me make sense!

I'll do my best to answer any questions that may come up, so ask away! I'd also love to see any pumpkin carvings that you guys make, so feel free to send those my way!

Oh my god, where the heck do you get the pumpkin gutter drill attatchment?! That thing looks wicked.

Great tutorial, I'd always wondered how people can get such even shading on their pumpkins. Hmm, think I'll look for one of those clay loop things (know exactly what you're talking about, but damned if I know their actual name XD). Already looking forward to carving for next year!

You can find the gutter here: www.getcarvingquicker.com/ or just by searching pumpkin gutter on Amazon.

Thank you! I don't even know if the clay loops have a proper name aside from clay loops? Either way, best of luck on next year's carvings!

I print out the picture from the computer then use transfer paper to get the design on the pumpkin. I hope that helps!

Online is easiest, although I've seen it at various independent art stores.
