Hey look, something new!

I get really really bored without pumpkins or watermelons to carve. And I've been seeing these awesome bead sprites around, and remember playing with them as a kid. So I wanted to give it a shot.

These two are kinda boring, I made them mostly so I could test out good ironing techniques. I had made a bigger one last week, but ended up screwing up badly and melting the thing into a pancake. I figured I should experiment with ones that weren't a pain in the ass to make in the first place. I think they turned out ok.

Anyone have any advice for making these things?

Melty beads for the win! <3 I miss those things. I forgot how we made ours though, so sadly I don't have any advice on how to do them. D: Though I har wax paper really helps. I could be wrong though...

I've been browsing around trying to get my bearings. Apparently parchment paper is the way to go, rather then wax paper. Which seems to be the general consensus in cooking as well, which makes me wonder what wax paper is for...

Well, I know wax paper can be turned into a kazoo. xD We use parchment paper for baking but used to have a roll of wax paper floating around too, though I'm not sure if we still have it. O.o
Seeing old crafts brought back is generally just incredibly fun, which is why I got back into doing Shrinky Dinks a year ago. So much fun. Cx

Oooh, kazoos are useful. I guess it does have purpose! I just wouldn't use it for ironing, since it would cover my nice iron in wax.
