Trouble for the Past
Gary stared out over the dark ocean horizon, his sapphire eyes looking mournful. The air around him still crackled from the time portal he had opened only minutes before, it was causing some of his fur to stand on end. Below him the waves crashed over his tail and onto the sand. As a cool wind blew from the tropical forest behind him, he caught the sent of another mew approaching. He didn't turn around, but a look of anger crossed his face.

"So Nutmeg is finally gone?" the mew behind him asked. She sounded sad, but had a hint of mockery in her tone.

The cherry brown mew continued to look over the ocean. "Yeah."After a small silence he added

I can't go too long without carving a pokemon pumpkin, I'll shrivel up!

My 2nd favorite pokemon, mew! I went for the original look with this one, for a couple of reasons. The first being that I tried and failed to draw something for it. The other being that I really like the look of the original mew, without the weird way I draw them. This way it's just mew, not Joey or Nutmeg or something.

Since I always try and learn something new with every pumpkin I carve, for this one I was going for super clean lines. There's not a lot of shading to be done (which was for the best, since the dremel needed batteries after the dragon carve!) so I wanted to make the carving itself stand out as much as I could. And I like how it turned out! It did take a long time though.

Can't think of much else to say about this one. Mew is awesome enough to speak for itself!

Aww, thank you! To be honest I'm pretty bad at drawing, so I doubt I could actually draw this design!

I don't have a specific template, unfortunately. I adapted it from the Ken Sugimori artwork from FR/LG. This one's pretty simple, if you'd like to make your own, just add the outline circle and shade the eyes based on the colours in the original. Good luck!

Thanks, I found the original image online and manipulated it into line art. I carved it already and, while it didn't turn out as well as yours, I'm pretty happy with it :D I don't think it's going to make it until halloween, though, haha

I'm glad it worked for you! And yeah if you want them super fresh for Halloween you need either some free space in a refrigerator or to carve them one to two days before.
