End of an EraIt had been a beautiful evening, he thought to himself. The air had been warm even long after the sun had passed below the hills. It had been so peaceful. He had let his guard down for once. He never heard the quiet crunching of human footsteps on dead leaves, or the soft noise of a bowstring being drawn. Now it was too late for any warnings. The arrow had gone through his chest and was pinning him to a tree.

Gently he traced his clawed hand over the shaft of the weapon. It was amazing how something so small could be such a nuisance. He didn't have the strength left to pull it out; the flame on his tail had dwindled to a small flicker. Every

And now the close up version of Espeon! I really like this one, but I'm not sure if I like it better then the Umbreon carving...

I had fun with this. The entire thing is lightly shaded in that wonderful way you can only do with watermelons. It took forever, but man does it look cool. I probably wouldn't have done it if I wasn't carving it to go along side Umbreon. It makes for wonderful contrast. I think it's one of my better carvings.

I was worried the sitting pose would be weird, but it works out very nicely as well.

Whoa, what a fantastic carving! I've been mesmerized by ALL of your Pokemon carvings as I've been looking through them - they're truly breathtaking , but this one in particular... well, clearly it holds a special fascination for me! ^_^
