Flygon Watermelonby =johwee

Artisan Crafts / Culinary Arts / Pumpkin Carving

And watermelon carving season is officially open! I wasn't going to carve anything until after all my finals were done, but I ended up giving my presentation in Japanese class on pumpkin carving, and whipped this up as a demonstration.

Flygon's one of my favorite pokemon. I have two on my Ruby version, and one is shiny. I've wanted to carve Flygon on a watermelon for awhile but never got around to it. I wish I could have done it a little more justice, but I carved this up in a speedy hour and a half, so I didn't get to give it that final polish. It's still pretty nice though.

OMG... I searched Flygon art and FOUND this... OMG!!! AWESOME!!! He is so in my main party X3 <3 Awesome job!

I never CUT my pumpkins... have bad BAAD BAAAD history with pumpkin carving T-T...

P.s. Did you SEE the new Pokemons???
I really like the Black one in the White game (lols, black in white and white in black...) Also, it was SUCH a dissapointment to see the starters XP

Thanks! I love Flygon too, I think they're my favorite dragon pokemon.

I saw the new pokemon, and I agree about the starters. I like the grass one (and want to carve it on a watermelon!) but the other two were a let down.

I never cared for dragons much, just Dragonite... and Flygon! I don't like Trapinch and his other form much, I wish they looked more like him... they are bugs and he's a dragon... kinda weird to see a bug turn into a dragon... *ponders*

He'd make a awesome watermelon... Just curious, do you eat them after the pic??? That's awesome... art you can eat... T-T Watermelon = Yum...

I know! I liked the one on the white box (the black Pokemon...) I didn't like the starters... The grass was the only decent one! But I felt like it was a combination of Treecko and other Pokemon... I never cared for the last starters either XD My favorite was always Totodile... He reminds me of Bubble Bobble... Plus, I just cannot evolve him x3 I haven't loved a starter after him ;-;

Well Vibrava is kind of based on a dragonfly, so it makes sense to me.

I usually hollow them out and save the insides before I carve it. I don't get a lot of watermelon out though. I need to find a good recipe so I can do something with the smashed up watermelon.
