Double Pichu Watermelon Invasion!by =johwee

Artisan Crafts / Culinary Arts / Pumpkin Carving

Hey it's time for another watermelon carving! I'm really getting into the zone with these things this summer. I'm definitely doing one more this summer, probably two.

Since Pichu is the most adorable pokemon ever, I decided I needed to carve even more Pichus on watermelons. My second ever watermelon carving was of the Pichu Brothers, so when I saw this artwork of gizamimi Pichu and shiny Pichu, I knew I had to carve it. And then I knew it was fate when I turned over the watermelon I had bought for a different carving and saw the same yellow spot that I used the first time.

So yeah, took about 4 hours of carving time total. I tried something a little new for the shading, and it turned out a little rough. Sadly, I couldn't tell that until I was finished and saw the pictures. It looks a lot more smooth in real life. Ah well, live and learn I guess. The good news was that this watermelon was delicious.
